Baby Sees Angels Story                 Back to Angel Stories
Angel Story of the Month for November 2006!

from Paula of Dover, Pennsylvania

I have a granddaughter who is now 14 months old.  I have heard before that infants
often can see angels in corners of rooms, and several times when I had been
holding my granddaughter when she was about nine or ten months old while we
were looking outside, she would look up in the sky.  I would ask her, "Baby, are you
looking at angels?"  And of course she is too young to answer.

So one day we are here at my house.  Several years ago at Christmas, one of my
friends gave me a little statue of a cherub that I have on a shelf.  It is just the head
and wings, but my granddaughter saw it...and she went bananas.  She was reaching
for it and making excitable sounds.  So I got it down off the shelf and let her hold it.
She was smiling and kissing the statue...so happy, while I was crying my eyes out
because this child has the look on her face like she just got to say hello to her best
friend.

So now when she comes to visit if I ask her, "Baby where is the angel?" she goes
right over to the shelf where the statue is.  My husband and daughter have both seen
my granddaughter do this, and have tried testing her with other objects.  She
responds sometimes to different things, but every time we ask her where the angel
is, she goes right to the shelf and stretches up her hands to hold it.  I always give it to
her.  I am not standing in this angel's way of connecting with my precious grandchild!
