Recently, we received a photograph that challenged us to try and determine how it was made. The photo in question had a ‘ghost hand’ rising up and out of the hand of a young woman.
We knew it wasn’t a ghost because it looked like it had been added to the image by photo-editing software such as Photoshop – but we were told it was an unaltered photograph. And we do not believe the ghostly hand was knowingly added even though it appeared similar to an animated hand. Heck, if you are going to try and fool somebody, at least make it look like a real hand, right?
Our next thought was that maybe somebody had used a smartphone app to add in the fake ghost in an attempt to fool the person who had sent it to us. Nope. Then, we asked if the person had a ghost hunting app on their mobile device because some of these apps are bad news and will automatically add fake anomalies into photos to fool the user into believing they captured something paranormal. No. Hmm…
The only thing left to deduce from this might be one of several camera malfunctions, something that faltered during the imaging process. And so, we explored and pondered; and we wrote this cool article: Digital Cameras: Errors, Not Ghosts. Give it a read, and see if you have seen any of these types of camera-induced ‘ghosts.’

I recently reviewed the book, Haunted Stuff, by Stacey Graham. And while it was a good read I must admit that it made me think more than provide me with answers.
Most of what I have seen or read out in the paranormal community (TV’s Haunted Collector included) concerning the haunting of inanimate objects has left me wanting.
It would appear that few have experimented with haunted items to see if more could be learned about them, especially, the nagging question of “why.”
Even if John Zaffis (aka “the haunted collector” and self-proclaimed “Godfather of the Paranormal”) is right that if we remove haunted objects the paranormal activity will sometimes end, I have yet to hear or read a theory as to why or how objects become imbued with a negative spirit energy. I guess I am suggesting that there needs to be more experimentation with “stuff” that exhibits ghostly behavior in order to learn more.
It is my hope that someone takes up this charge and writes me about their findings. If not, I’ll add it to my list of things to explore in the future. - Louis

I recently wrote a review for a new book that shares stories about dealing with dark entities. The book is entitled, “Vanquishing Ghosts and Demons.”
Ranging from ghosts to incubii, the book shares tale after tale about what author Sandrea Mosses encountered and how she and her team worked together to rid tormented victims of the spirit abuses suffered.
I must say I enjoyed the book even though I do not believe in the demonic (I tend to think we label things as “demons” in Western culture when something has “evil” intent. Demons in our culture are primarily based upon prominent Christian religious teachings whose creation can be traced back to origins hundreds of years after Jesus).
That said, this book is an interesting read and its author is experienced. Read my book review of Vanquishing Ghosts & Demons.
