Mary Apparition Sightings & Pictures
Since at least 1664, people have been claiming to have seen apparitions of Mary and other
saints associated with the Christian church. Marian apparitions, an event in which the mother
|
|
|
|
|
|
of Jesus, Mary, is seen as a light or vaporous entity one or more
people. Oftentimes, these sightings are also associated with the
deliverance of messages that are said to be of great importance.
The first of such apparitions of Mary that were reported, occurred in
France between 1664-1718 and eventually became known as Our
Lady of Laus. A famous apparition of Mary was sighted in Fatima,
Portugal back in 1917, being seen by three children. Another
popular sighting has been seen more recently at a Coptic Orthodox
church and known as the Egypt Mary Apparitions.

December 2007, a mysterious visitor was captured in photo
by two young girls when taking pictures of trees by a river.
They later discovered the image of what some believe to be
an apparition of Mary in the camera's LCD screen.

Apparitions of Saints Captured in Photographs
Some types of Christian denominations and sects do not follow the Marian apparitions but
are quicker to believe in appearances of saints, especially those of Jesus (See Christ
Jesus Pictures). Still, the word "saint" can have a broader meaning dependent upon one's
|
|
|
|
|
|
definition. Some view devout church leaders, or even the whole
body of Christian believers, as being saints. This is interesting
because there have been photos of ministers, the spirits of saints,
captured within the walls of churches.

|
|
|
There have also been sightings of more renown saint apparitions.
For example, Saint Michael was said to have been seen in San
Sebastian de Garabandal, Spain from 1961-1965 by four school
children.
