Skotograph Spirits

An example of a skotograph taken in Chelmsford, England that may show spirits...

This photographic example that was sent to us is believed to be in the possession of the Society for Psychical Research in London, England. This type of thoughtography is actually known as 'skotography.'

Skotography is the practice of bringing forth images, usually by a psychic medium, using photographic paper (or film) held to the head to create spirit impressions. Typically done in a darkened room so as to not ruin the photo paper, the skotographs were thought to be produced by the medium while in communication with the deceased.
