We prefer it as a hand-held camera for ghost photography; or we place it on a tripod for video monitoring of haunted locations. What makes this model fantastic is that you can quickly switch between camera and camcorder with ease and without having to go into the menu to change back and forth! Please note that an Infrared Light source is needed to take pictures or shoot video in the dark (not included).
