My name is Jennifer from West Virginia.
I had a near death experience seven years ago when I was into drugs. I was to the point
where I felt trapped with them and by the people around me. I kept silently praying for God
to help me, but I just kept doing the same things with people putting it in my face and
showing up at my door.

Then one day, my boyfriend at the time gave
me too much. I guess my chest hurt; I couldn't
breathe. The last thing I remember saying to
him was, "Why are you trying to kill me," just
before I hit the floor.
I then felt like I went through a dark tunnel. At
the end of the tunnel, I came to an opening.
There was a being with long light brown hair,
a beautiful being! My first thought was that
this was a man or a woman surrounded in
bright light.

I felt a peaceful feeling. I wanted to stay and get away from my life on earth that seemed to
be going nowhere. Then, with no words spoken, the being just looked at me and shook a
finger at me, as if to say, "Shame on you," or "No. You can't come in."
The next thing I knew, I came to and was back. I have became closer to God after this. It
did take a while. I never fail to share my experience with others and tell them I believe
there is someplace we go on the other side.
