Psychograph Writing

Using fraud-proof photographic plates, delegates from Belfast had a psychic sitting with medium Billy Hope. On their plate, which is to say in their photograph, appeared a message written in the handwriting of a Dr. Crawford. At the time, they called this a "psychograph."

The psychograph handwriting example on this page is described by Arthur Conan Doyle in his book The Case for Spirit Photography as appearing on "its own patch of ectoplasm."
