Original eBay Listing for the Haunted Portrait Painting:

"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! GET THIS THING OUT OF MY LIFE!

Last fall I was at an estate sale. I was looking for furniture to decorate a parlor I had just renovated in our newly restored Victorian house. Amongst other things, I bid on and won this painting.

When I arrived home, I unloaded the truck and placed the furniture in the room. As I hung this picture, my wife entered the room. She said, "well, I like everything you bought except that picture. They are spooky looking". Don't hang that there, I don't like it. We both imediatly felt a chill in the room. It was like the mood changed. She said, "seriously, get it down!"

I laughed and said, you will get used to it. Let it hang a few days and see. I knew there was something different about that painting. It had changed when she said that. It wasn't friendly anymore. I laughed at my own thoughts........it is JUST A PAINTING! I took several pictures of the painting hanging in our parlor, and they all appeared a little strange. I am going to put those pictures in this auction. I never showed the pictures to my wife.

Over the next few weeks, bad things began happening to my wife. She became ill, and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong, or what was causing it. She got a sinus infection that has not gone away after 9 months of antibotics and even a sinus sergury. She aches all over, and she has trouble breathing.

She finely demanded I get rid of that painting. I have a friend that has a booth at a local antique mall. I asked him if he would sell it for me.

He is always happy to make a buck, so he more than gladly picked up the painting and hung it in his booth for sale.

About 2 weeks ago, he called my cell, and insisted I get that "DA**" picture out of his booth......TODAY! I asked what the problem was. All he would say was he always averaged about $700.00 to $900.00 a month in sales. He hasn't sold anything since that picture was hung. Besides he went on, the people in the mall want it out!

When I arrived at the antique mall after work, I told them I was there to pick up a picture from Joe's booth. They said, "THANK GOD" and stepped into a booth behind the counter. They handed me the painting completely wrapped in brown paper and duct taped shut. It was already out of the booth.

When I asked what the problem was, the said "JUST GET IT OUT OF HERE, WE DON'T LIKE IT"!

When I arrived home, I set it in the garage. Our St. Bernard likes to go in the garage when it is hot and lay on the cool cement. He won't go in the garage anymore since the painting arrived back home.

IF YOU ARE INTO THIS CRAP, GOOD FOR YOU, PLEASE TAKE IT! I AM NOT INTO THIS, AND WANT NO MORE PART OF IT! I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DON'T SAY YOU DON'T LIKE IT THOUGH, JUST ASK MY WIFE!"
